Is a digital mannequin the new trend in fashion blogging?

Italian fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo recently launched a new ”style yourself” feature on their website. It allows you to mix and match styles on a digital mannequin that looks like a paper doll. You can choose from multiple images of shoes, handbags, coats, slacks, blouses and dresses to create your own look.

Here is what the website looks like and when you go there directly you can  double click on the articles of clothing and they will float directly on the naked mannequin so you can put together you own look. And you can see exactly how much that complete outfit is going to cost you. Very Cool. And I assume very pricey.

Mannequin Madness offers the opportunity to “style yourself” the old fashioned way. We sell new and pre-owned mannequins and dress forms in a variety of sizes. It is not as fast as the digital version, but it is a lot more realistic looking.
