Our local NBC station featured us on the Bay Area Proud segment hosted by Garvin Thomas.
This segment is about positive, success stories about the people, groups, and companies making the Bay Area, and the world, a better place to live
Mannequin Madness was featured NOT because we are a green business (We keep used mannequins out of landfills) But because of the unexpected way I stumbled upon turning my passion for mannequins in a thriving business. A business I didn’t start until I was in my mid 40’s.

Garvin was inspired how  “following one’s passions can end up leading to some very unlikely, and surprisingly profitable places.”

I am sharing the video here in the hopes that it will inspire you to “follow your passion”. But I must admit that when I watch the video I fall into the same trap that many women do – criticizing the way I look. Perhaps it is because I am surrounded by “co-workers” who are tall, thin, young and beautiful and spend their time lounging around while I do all the work. Here is one of my co-workers.
