Since this is the month we celebrate Earth Day we thought we would highlight our favorite up-cycled mannequin projects from our Pinterest board on DIY projects using mannequins. (many of them have tutorials to show you how to duplicate it).

When we recycle mannequins at Mannequin Madness, we don’t just make the world a little greener by keeping mannequins out of landfills.  We make the world a little prettier and fun because crafty people buy our used mannequins to up-cycled into all kinds of decorative projects.

1 The mannequin torso in the photo above was being tossed out by a retailer because it had a big crack on the top of her head down to her neck. She is was turned into a garden goddess by attaching succulents in her head. Here is a tutorial to show how this is done using either real or faux succulents.

2 Sometimes we have mannequin torsos that are great shape structurally but the paint is chipping and scratched. They make a perfect canvas for a decoupage project. Get the tutorial for the one above here.

3 Perhaps you have a dress form that has stains or rips in the fabric. No need to discard it. Instead, cover it with lace doilies and-and a sash decorated with flowers. Get the tutorial here.

4 A generic dress form can turn into  romantic shabby chic home decor with this tutorial.

5 A used mannequin head and a dress from can be turned into these spooky spirits for a Halloween display.  Here is the tutorial.

Feel free to post on our Facebook page how you have up-cycled a mannequin to create something fabulous.
