This is my series devoted to the real life models who became Rootstein mannequins. The mannequins are also dressed in attire that provides a little bit of fashion history.

Philip Chatterton, pose code AA9 from Laid Back Larry Series, circa 1980. Philip was able in three poses AA8 , AA9 and AA4 seated, note the seated pose was featured on the original catalog cover and in advertising in VM and SD Magazine.

In pop culture, two of the seated pose are seen facing each other on the album cover art for, “YAZ , Upstairs at Eric’s” released September 1982. Featured the hit single “Only You”. More recently Alison Moyet performed ” Only You” to close Burberry September 2015 show for S/S16. The group also features Adel Rootstein mannequins on the cover and liner notes from “The Best of YAZ” releases 1999.
