This is my series devoted to the real life models who became Rootstein mannequins. The mannequins are also dressed in attire that provides a little bit of fashion history.
Jan Strimple, pose code V1, originally from Style for Places and Spaces Series. This pose is the original V1 circa 1980’s, and features the clasped hands. The pose V1 produced in Classics Collection Series had hands without clasping and palms flat down. Yes, both sets of hands are for Style for Places and Spaces Series, note the hands produced on Classics Collection Series are from poses V2, V8, V9, V10 and left hand V11, on original poses from Style for Places and Spaces Series.

This model/mannequin is named Firefly. She is pose code Symbol S.11, from Classic and Symbol Series. Circa early 1970’s. The series featured four models, Sara Kapp, Renata Zatsch, Marie Helven and Firefly.

This Khadija Adams – is was Miss Kenya in 1984 .THis one is a custom, the head from Sohi and Solo Series pose code XS6 (the head had been removed by a retailer, to update, create a headless mannequin) the body is High Life pose code LIF11 and had a damaged abstract head, and was retrofit/refinished.
