Suay Sew Shop takes old textiles and makes them into new clothing

Los Angeles-based clothing brand Suay Sew Shop is looking to limit waste and change the way people consume fashion by taking old textiles like tablecloths, towels and even jerseys to transform them into new clothing.

The shop has diverted 3.5 million pounds of textiles from landfills since launching in 2017. That’s enough textiles to cover 8 acres of land, or equivalent to the weight of 1,116 cars
