I just received a copy of a new book – MANNEQUIN- and if you love mannequins, this book is a must have. Like a bag of popcorn, you won’t be able to put this elegant hardcover book down.
It contains over 200 images of mannequins from 14 states and 4 countries! Some of the mannequins are simply breathtaking, some are bizarre and some are unique but all are interesting.
Mannequins stand at the crossroads of art and commerce and the images of the book accurately captures this. The only issue I have with the book is that it does not include a lot of details about the history of mannequins or other factoids that would make this a good reference book about mannequins. But for the sheer joy of looking at beautiful images of mannequins around the world, this book is right on point.
