This powerful (and slightly creepy) public service announcement uses mannequins that gradually lose their limbs to educate people about ALS – also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. While the video is slightly scary (as is the disease) it won a recent award because it powerfully communicates the message without the use of any words.
It is common knowledge that mannequins are silent salespersons and in this ad they certainly speak volumes without saying a word. This is also another example of creative ways that people use distressed or broken mannequins for various projects. That is why our bargain bin at the Mannequin Madness warehouse in Oakland is so popular.
