Some of the most interesting craft room spaces can be found on Pinterest.

One of the ones that really captured our attention was this craft room space below in the home of textile designer Andie Hanna .

We applaud her ability to have pack a lot in a small space, yet it doesn’t look cluttered. It’s calm, but not too minimalist, organized but not too anal, colorful but not overwhelming.

And yes, we really love the sewing form that she has in the corner. We had no idea how many of our dress forms and jewelry forms are displayed in craft rooms, not just retail stores.

Andie’s space was the inspiration for our first annual  “Craft Room of your Dreams” contest on Pinterest that started May 1, 2013 and ends May 31, 2013. So it’s not too late for you to enter.

Prizes are $200 Amex gift card, a $100 gift card at Mannequin Madness and a $50 coupon to We’ve been so pleased with the success we are going to do another one with a larger cash prize.

Andie is also one of our four judges in the craft room contest because she is we like her design aesthetic.

Despite her youthful looks she has worked for over 13  as a fashion designer of apparel and accessories. After graduating from college she worked in L.A. as a costume designer/stylist & in NYC as a designer for top brands & companies like Disney, Macy’s, Kohls & Calvin Klein.

Recently she decided to leave the corporate world, follow her dreams and start my her own design firm. She recently launched her own line of designer fabrics with Robert Kaufman.

If you love beautiful fabrics, we suggest you follow her blog, as she frequently has contest drawings where you can receive a nice fat bundle of her fabric designs.
