A massage therapist recently ordered a particular type of mannequin head from us and had very detailed questions about it before he placed his order. I was curious about why a massage therapist would need to buy this specific mannequin head and not a full body mannequin.
This is what he said: “I am buying this type of mannequin head for instructional purposes to demonstrate a Manual Lymphatic Drainage technique for the face. The fact that it could lay flat on a massage table with stability, and had a portion of the trapezius muscles, makes it perfect for this purpose.”
Plus a mannequin head is less expensive to purchase than a full body mannequin and MUCH easier to maneuver!
