Looking for a free or cheap mannequins? If you aren’t too picky about the condition of them because you are going to upcycle them into something else, here are five ways to find them:

1 Search Craigslist, Freecycle or Facebook Marketplace.

2 If you are brave, you can go dumpster diving behind a retail store or mall because retailers frequently throw away mannequins when a store is closing or remodeling. Sometimes the mannequins might be missing parts or if they were on a glass stand, it will be broken after being tossed in the dumpster.

3 When a major retail chain is closing a location in your city they often sell their fixtures at fire sale pries to the public a few weeks before the store officially closes their doors. So do a google search for store closures in your area.

4 Do a google search for the term “Used Display Fixtures” in your city. The industry term for mannequins is “display fixture” and many vendors who primarily sell store fixtures also sell mannequins. But because the vendors have names like Joe’s Store Fixtures or Store Fixtures Plus, you might not know that they also sell mannequins.

5 Visit MannequinMadness.com  as we have a used mannequin section. These are mannequins we sell at discount prices that we have recycle from retail chains that have closed.

The condition ranges from brand new to minor signs of wear and tear to distressed. All the photos in the blog post are examples of used mannequins we have had for sale.

We are in Oakland, Ca but ship all over the US and Canada. However sometimes the shipping cost of a mannequin is more than the purchase price of our discounted used mannequins.
