This is ” Sliwka” – a very unusual name, I heard she might be from Chechen, does anyone know?
This is a retrofit head code T3 of Walk Talk Leisure Pleasure Series and Girl Thing Series body, pose code AR2. Girl Thing Series was the final collection sculpted by John Taylor, The original sculptor for Rootstein.
Side note about Sliwka one of the few Rootstein Mannequins showing teeth and with her tongue exposed. According to one of my mannequin collectors some stores after purchase, deemed the tounge face to overtly sexual and had the face altered by the sanding the tongue off.
Decter mannequins had done the “laughing” and “screaming” faces, prior to Rootstein doing this series, but Decter looked like a angry head on a very 1960’s uptight pose.
Sliwka is styled in EDUN suit (EDUN is nude spelled backwards to represent natural, fibers, sourcing, etc. The label was started by Ali Hewson and Bono in 2005), Christian Dior blouse, vintage coin earrings, semiprecious stone necklace and Express shoes.
