If you have a dress form that is on a short stand (like the one on the left) and you want to make it taller like the on one right, here is a quick hack on how to do it.
This is easily done with PVC pipe from the hardware store is super cheap. No other tools are necessary.

You want to get a PVC pipe that can fit inside the inside diameter of your pole. So measurement the diameter and get the PVC pipe that is a little smaller.

If you purchased this used dress form from us (the one in the cover photo) the diameter is 1/2”.
Or you can just take your stand to the hardware store and go to the PVC section. Put the various sized rods in side your pole of your dress form stand to see which one has a snug fit.
You don’t there to be a lot of space around the rod cause then your dress form will be wobbly when you put it on the stand.

Usually PVC pipe comes in 6foot lengths and I have them cut it down in three pieces of each size. Some people get four pieces, it depends upon how much additional height you need for your form.
Once you put clothing on the dress form, no one will be able to see the PVC pipe. Or you could spray paint the rod silver.
The PVC pipe give you a lot of flexibility as you can display your form at different heights just by removing or installing the PVC pole.
