One of a Kind Lamps with Mannequin Torsos & Heads

Designers like Jimmie Martin have helped to popularize the idea of transforming a full size mannequin into a lamp. But for people who like that idea but have limited space, a mannequin torso – with or without a head – can be turned into a lamp as well.

For example, the elegant lamp below was created from a mannequin torso with a head. The ribboned lampshade and crystal fringe add to the feminine style of the lamp. We see this as a lovely nightstand accessory.

This copper (or copper-like) torso has a severe, haunting quality. The lights here hang from her arm sockets. She has what we call a Frankenstein-ish look.

Or, using a fuller torso form, why not light up the whole room with a translucent torso?
