This is the first in a series of blog articles about using mannequins and mannequin parts for Halloween decorations. We are launching this series in conjunction with our Mannequin Halloween Giveaway.

To be eligible to win, just upload a photo of a Halloween display that includes mannequins or mannequin parts on Instagram or Facebook. Post the photo with the hashtag #mannequinhalloween. Every week a winner will be selected at random to win a $100 gift certificate at Mannequin Madness. Complete contest details are here

The inspiration for the contest and this series about mannequins for Halloween decor began when we saw this image online:

We couldn’t stop laughing and were so happy that the creator of this display wrote this tutorial to explain the process of making it.

We wanted more people to see how easy it is to make an impactful (and budget friendly) Halloween display using mannequins and mannequin parts. So, we created the contest to acquire more user-generated content to share.

And since we have a large inventory of used mannequin legs that we recycled from retail stores to sell,  we chose mannequin legs as the first feature in the series.

Check out these creative ways of using mannequin legs.

A pair of upside down legs can be used to create various scenes, reminiscent of the wicked witch from “The Wizard of Oz…”

What is especially cool about mannequin legs is that after Halloween is over,  the legs can be repurposed and turned into a planter.

or to pretend that Santa is coming down the chimney…

Santa’s pants and boots coming down the chimney with Christmas decorations around

or to show a Grinch coming out of a Christmas tree..

Check back to see the rest of the articles in this series, each one devoted to a different mannequin body part to use for Halloween displays Tomorrow’s post will be about mannequin hands.
