Artist Edouard Omar expresses himself through painted mannequins, photos, and wall art.
His palette is bold and bright, with a touch of whimsy. His work displays vibrant figures and colorful souls, so different from their starting points of neutrality.
Based in Long Beach, he speaks about his art: “Art is my path to joy, authenticity and healing. I design each piece with spontaneity and playfulness.”
As it turns out, Omar is also a massage therapist. What an interesting combination of careers. About that combo, he adds: “As a massage therapist, I am fascinated by working with the human form as a canvas, as I uncover the light and life hidden inside.”
Omar uses the mannequin form or parts of it – legs, upper torsos, etc. – as the canvas in many of his pieces. He is available for private showings, gallery installations and other exhibitions. He’s also open to one-of-a-kind commissions of unique pieces.
