Vintage Vogue & Harper’s Bazaar Magazines Bound into Hardcover Books for Sale

Before digital archives, libraries preserved magazines by having a year’s worth of issues professionally bound into hardcover books. These rare ex-library volumes of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar capture decades of fashion history in a format that is both practical and beautiful.

We have 40 of these books for sale in our eBay store. Here is an example from one from 1975 with Cher on the cover. Talk about a blast from the past!

Although we normally recycle mannequins and store fixtures, we are occasionally asked to recycle fashion adjacent items for retailers when they are closing. We could not refuse the opportunity to recycle these magazines on behalf of the luxury retailer who no longer had a need for them.

These aren’t just magazines — they’re collectible time capsules, packed with iconic photography, legendary fashion moments, and unforgettable ads from some of the most stylish decades in history. 1988 is when Anna Wintour became editor so we have Vogue mannequins before and during her “reign.”

Whether you’re a fashion collector, interior designer, stylist, or simply appreciate iconic fashion photography, these hardcover magazine collections offer a unique opportunity to own and display original issues from two of the world’s most influential fashion publications.

In the world of digital everything, there’s nothing quite like the feel of flipping through real, vintage pages. These hardcover collections preserve multiple issues of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar magazines — from years from the 1970’s to the early 2000’s. All carefully bound together to protect the pages and create a gorgeous, display-ready book.

Here’s why collectors, designers, and fashion lovers can’t get enough of them:

✅ Original, authentic Harper’s and Vogue magazines from iconic years

✅ Beautiful hardcover binding for durability and display

✅ Packed with fashion editorials, vintage ads, and pop culture moments

✅ Perfect for coffee tables, design studios, photo props, or fashion archives

✅ A real, tactile reading experience — no screens, no swiping, just pure nostalgia

Whether you’re a die-hard magazine fan, a fashion history buff, or just love surrounding yourself with unique vintage décor, these bound magazines are conversation starters and inspiration sources all in one.

These books were originally in the library of the San Francisco Fashion Design and Merchandising school, so some of the covers have their name stamped on it.
