Creative activities naturally bring people together. Unlike structured meetings or formal events, hands-on experiences create a relaxed environment where conversation flows easily.

As sisters design their crowns, they often exchange ideas, help each other adjust flowers, and celebrate each finished creation. These small moments of collaboration create space for genuine connection.

All women – regardless of body shape, size, age or height or hair texture – look good in a flower crown -especially one that they made themselves to reflect their personal style.

At the flower crown classes we host at Mannequin Madness in Oakland each person gets to choose the style of flower crown or fascinator they want to design. So whether their personal style is boho, conservative, glam or girly, they are still unified with a shared group experience, while expressing the individuality.

We have a huge selection of realistic looking faux flowers and eco-friendly embellishments such as feathers, gems, butterflies, pearls. Unlike a flower crown made with live flowers, the ones created in our class can be worn over and over again for years to come.

Every time they wear their flower crown, it will be a reminder of the sisterhood, creativity, and memories shared when they made it. Undergraduate members can wear their flower crowns with their graduation caps, while alumnae can enjoy theirs at sorority teas, reunions, and celebrations. Everyone has has a keepsake that they can wear or display to remind them of sisterhood activity.

For Collegiate Chapters

For sorority members currently in college, flower crown workshops offer a fun and memorable bonding experience that fits beautifully into many chapter activities. You can make your flower crown in the colors of your sorority or your school colors.

Recruitment bonding
During recruitment season, chapters often look for ways to help members connect and build a welcoming atmosphere. A creative activity allows sisters to relax together and strengthen relationships before welcoming new members.

Retreat activities
Sisterhood retreats are designed to deepen connections within the chapter. A flower crown workshop provides a collaborative experience where members can slow down, create something beautiful, and enjoy time together outside of regular campus routines.

Ideal for Alumnae Chapters

Sorority sisterhood often continues long after graduation. Many Bay Area alumnae chapters host gatherings that bring sisters together years or even decades after college.

Flower crown workshops offer a refreshing alternative to traditional meetups.

Reunions
When sisters gather for reunions, shared creative experiences help break the ice and spark conversation. Making flower crowns together encourages laughter and storytelling while creating new memories.

Founders Day gatherings
Celebrating a sorority’s founding is a meaningful tradition for many chapters. Adding a creative workshop to a Founders Day event allows sisters to honor their shared history while enjoying a joyful group activity.

Regional sisterhood events
In the Bay Area, many sorority groups host regional gatherings where sisters from different chapters come together. A flower crown workshop creates a welcoming and interactive experience that helps women connect with new sisters while celebrating their shared values.

According to the publication Psychology Today, there are multiple therapeutic benefits derived from making something by hand. So a flower crown class is not just a fun arts and craft activity. It is also a health and wellness activity. No prior crafting experience is needed, just the ability to use a hot glue gun.
