When Roxanna A. was searching on for ideas for her bachelorette party, our flower crown experience caught her because she always loved mannequins. The idea of doing something creative AND being in an out of the ordinary venue intrigued her.
Roxanna also liked that everyone would make a custom flower crown using faux flowers. Everyone could wear their crowns before, during, and after the wedding, as well as for other occasions in the future. So memories of the bachelorette celebration would happen every time they wore their flower crowns.
Another part of the experience that appealed to Roxanna was the ability to make the party feel like her own. Her group could use our private kitchen, bring the food and drinks they wanted, and select the playlist for our sound system.
It wasn’t simply a private room. It was a private experience she could customize to suit her needs. And then there was the free parking, a particularly welcome perk in the Bay Area when a group is arriving in different cars. That made driving from San Francisco, where she is based, to our venue in Oakland worth it.
A Few Special Touches for the Bride
When Roxanna arrived, we offered her one of these BRIDE embellishment that she could add to her flower crown. But because she wanted to wear her crown for other occasions, she decided to leave it off.
She did, however, take home the two suede ring holders we gave her, one for her wedding ring and one for her future husband’s.
We serve hot tea in these decorative individual teapots during our Flower Crown Experiences, but Roxanna’s group had another beverage in mind. They brought mimosas.
Then the Creating Began
Each guest was given a mannequin head to use as a canvas for designing her flower crown. This is where being in a mannequin showroom suddenly made perfect sense.
The group could choose from our wide variety of faux flowers in different colors and styles, along with embellishments such as pearls, rhinestones, feathers, butterflies, beads, ribbon, and more.
Before they began, we showed a brief slideshow of flower crowns other guests had created for inspiration. But there was no template everyone had to follow.
Everyone in Roxanna’s group created a completely different flower crown that reflected her own style and personality.
Crowns On, Cameras Out
Once the last flowers and embellishments were in place, Roxanna and her group headed to our photo studio.
They posed with different props, including a mannequin head and our oversized “engagement ring.”
Roxanna loved being surrounded by bubbles from our bubble machine.
Others in the group had fun posing with the mannequins throughout the showroom.
And Then They Took Their Flower Crowns Out
When it was time to leave, the crowns didn’t get packed away.
Roxanna and her group left Mannequin Madness wearing the flower crowns they had just created and headed to San Francisco for the next stops on their bachelorette celebration.
For Roxanna, the Flower Crown Experience wasn’t the entire bachelorette party. It was where the party began.
