The ad promoting season 5 of Mad Men has Don Draper and looking at two mannequins in a window display. The female mannequin is nude with her dress around her ankles.
This is not a scene you would see in a window display now and certainly not something you would have seen in a retail store in the 1950’s!
We are not exactly sure what this imagery means and how it connects to the storyline this year. But what we DO know is the female mannequin we have for sale for $175 at Mannequin Madness that looks like the one in this ad has been selling quite briskly ever since this season of Mad Men started.
We’ve been trying to find a male version of this mannequin, but so far all the male versions are headless. Not exactly sure what THAT means either!
