This is my series devoted to the real life models who became Rootstein mannequins. The mannequins are also dressed in attire that provides a little bit of fashion history.

This is Moshe. Few people have ever seen him in a store window and I can’t find any information about him in real life.

I believe he was more popular in London retail stores than in the USA. African American mannequins (and models) have always been a little more readily accepted in Europe than they are In their own backyard.

Look at the choice of poses he came in. Rootstein always have a gift of making mannequins seem “lifelike”. And while I love seated/reclining mannequins, they can be a bit of a challenge to dress.

If you want to buy a Rootstein mannequin, we frequently have used ones for sale here. You can also sign up to receive an email the next time we get more used Rootstein mannequins in stock or follow us on Facebook.
