Rootstein Mannequin series: Wade Tolera

For the month of February I am going to feature my series on the African American mannequins that Rootstein produced.

This is Wade Tolera. I will just let the photos speak for themselves.

Look at photo of Wade in real life. There is no doubt that he is a person Of color.

Then look at the various ways his hair texture and skin tone changes as a mannequin.

On one hand the model was selected to be made into a mannequin – and received some compensation and recognition for that. On the other hand there are times in which is bears only a ”passing” resemblance to the real person.+2
