A few years ago I was interviewed by PBS News Hour about a feature on “senior entrepreneurs”. Apparently this topic is still trending, so I am reposting to share with you.

That is me in the photo above flanked by Paul Solman, the economics host on PBSnewshour and Lee Koromvokis the show producer.

Seniors are starting businesses at a rate much higher than people in 20-35 age group. Sometimes it is because of necessity – people are living longer and don’t have the savings to keep up with the cost of living. Sometimes it is because they were laid off from a job and face age discrimination in trying to get another job.

Sometimes, it is because they want to pursue a passion they didn’t get to do in their youth, which was the case for me. So PBS  interviewed seniors in each category. Below is the video
