Cardi B and I are in love with the same man. And he is a married man!
Sound scandalous? Naw, it is completely PG. We both LOVE David at Shop David Christopher for his skills in creating amazing, non-traditional Christmas Decor. And we both worked with David this year – but we had him first!
Cardi B hired David to decorate her home for Christmas last year which she gushed about on her instagram account –
On her Youtube channel and in People magazine where she said her “Christmas decorations make her feel like a dream. “
A month before David did the Cardi B decorations, he featured Mannequin Madness on The Shop David Christopher Youtube series he hosts with his wife, Jen.
A member of my design team, Hector Villacorta, had been following their Youtube series and admired David’s talent. Since we were just starting to host zoom classes to show people how to make a Dress Form Tree, we wanted someone of David’s stature to promote this style of holiday decorating.
We sent him a dress form so he could show his audience how to decorate a Dress Form Christmas tree. And he used a color pallet similar to the one he did for for Cardi B.
We are so glad we reached out to David and Jen BEFORE we saw on their Facebook page the work they did for Cardi B. We might have been too intimated to reach contact them.
We thought we found someone “regional with a small cult following” because David and Jen aren’t in a big design center city like LA or NY or a glitzy city like Vegas. They are in Sheffield, Alabama.
Instead they were chosen to work with one of the biggest pop stars right now. Great minds think alike.
