Just like chocolate and peanut butter is an unexpected but winning combination, so are succulents and mannequins. Yes, mannequins are the perfect canvas for creating art for your garden  wearing  “succulents” as their attire.

Whether it’s using a wire dress form, a full-sized mannequin, or mannequin heads, torsos, and legs, your garden creations will provide a whimsical addition to your yard. Check out these examples from this  Pinterst board devoted to succulents on mannequins .

Because succulents are low-care, low-water plants, they will hold their shape and not outgrow your initial design too fast. At some point, you may have to switch out one succulent that has grown with a younger succulent to maintain the ideal form and shape of your handiwork.

Someone even created this ingenious garden “mermaid” with moss and succulents.

We sell used mannequins at Mannequin Madness here that we have recycled from retail stores. When you purchase a second hand mannequin you are not only saving money but you are doing something good for the environment (promoting reuse) while making something beautiful for your environment.

With live or faux succulents, you can even create an attention-getting interest piece for your front porch or indoor room. Or perhaps as a centerpiece for a  special event like a party or shower.

You can create smaller but still impactful conversation pieces using succulents with mannequin heads.  Check out tomorrow’s post where we show examples of succulents on mannequin heads.
