This is my series devoted to the real life models who became Rootstein mannequins. The mannequins are also dressed in attire that provides a little bit of fashion history.

For more details on why I love Rootstein Mannequins and why I started this series, please read the first three posts in the series.

This is Dianne DeWitt pose code LS8A from Impact Series, originally this pose was introduced in Lipstick and Compact Series with a different models head. Circa 1989, this Dianne has original factory finish as ordered for Neiman Marcus.

Dianne has runway modeled, appeared on magazine covers, a stylist/consultant and has been working for clean bottled drinking water, in recycleable bottles, for homeless persons.

Dianne is styled in Alaia suit, sandals and vintage pearls. Alaia has been referred to as “The King of Cling”. He also had a long friendship with Grace Jones, she even carried him onto a stage to accept a award in 1984.

This is Jan Strimple Pose code V3 from Style for Places and Spaces Series, circa 1984ish. Jan was featured in three poses in the series, with her reclining pose code V1 also featured in the Classics Collection Series.

Jan has been featured on many fashion magazine covers and runway shows , a muse to Bob Mackie, producer, entrepreneur, charitable philanthropist and survivor, a Icon.

She is styled in sample, Maison Martin Margiela dress, chain belt, pearls and The Limited shoes.

This is Rootstein Mannequin, Susanna Lindsmayer, Calendar Girls Series, pose code G1 for early production and pose code G01 for later production, same mannequin just a different code, the series launched 1986.

Susanna Lindsmayer was also in Style for Places and Spaces Series earlier in the 1980’s. This was about the era that she was featured in Gianfranco Ferre advertising.

Rootstein Mannequin, Susanna Lindsmayer styled in Calvin Klein suit, Wallis blouse, semiprecious stone earrings, Hanora necklace, Nine West shoes and Cole Haan sunglasses.

This is Mel Martin in the Lazy Lizzy Series pose code Z6, circa 1980. Model actress, stage and screen. (But I never head of her)

The series featured ten poses, with seven of those in reclining poses, and three standing poses that were in a relaxed posture.

She is styled in Lanvin River 2017 dress, semiprecious carved stone necklace and vintage shoes.
